Cooling Door for GoPro
Introduction
Blowcase is an innovative and simple cooling solution for action cams and smartphones. It may surprise you, but here's how it works:
For the GoPro:
Cooling is achieved by a small fan on the custom door for the camera, which blows air through the inner part of the camera and blowing warm air through the power button on the side. For the device to function, the rubber button on the camera has to be removed, which means it won't be waterproof anymore.
For the phones:
Cooling is achieved by a small fan on the back of the phone, which blows air across the phone's back panel, efficiently cooling the entire device. It's so effective that it allows you to record 4K at 120fps for 2.5 hours straight on an iPhone in a non-ventilated room at 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It also protects your phone from the sun's impact, making it ideal for use on sunny days outdoors. And the best part? The fan is powered by the phone itself, consuming minimal power.

How to Use
Initial Setup
GoPro
- Put GoPro Labs firmware onto your camera, Scan !TUSB QRcode to allow power from USB without internal battery
- Remove rubber cover of the power button from the camera so the air flow can go all the way through the camera
Note that this is a permanent modification and your camera won't be waterproof anymore - Snap the cooling door instead of the original one and plug in the USB cable. Turn the switch on to enable the cooling fan
iPhone
- Snap your phone into the case. Done! From this point, your phone starts cooling automatically.
- Use a switch to enable/disable cooling.
- The Blowcase extends your phone's USB port, allowing you to charge it while using it. You can use the USB port on the case for data and power just like it's the phone's port
